About Beartooth Forestry

Owner & Operator - Nate Hayes

Beartooth Forestry is privately owned and operated by Nate Hayes.

From the time Nate was young, he was always finding ways to learn about different types of land and the outdoors. He has since turned that passion into a career that he loves and is excited to help you with your forestry needs!

In his free time, Nate enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, being outdoors and building.

What is Forestry Mulching?

Forestry mulching is a relatively new technique for restoring and clearing land. It is a fast, efficient and more economical way to clear any size piece of land.

Beartooth Forestry operates a Bradco MM60 Mulcher attached to a Kubota SVL 95-2S Skid Steer. For more information about the equipment Nate uses, please click the button below!

How will it benefit me?

Unlike traditional land clearing, forestry mulchers have the distinctive ability to shred brush, undergrowth and standing trees up to 10 inches in diameter on the spot while leaving only enriching topsoil mulch behind.

This economically friendly technique requires no hauling off of debris, leaving behind a nutrient rich layer of mulch to biodegrade into the soil, and a "park like" appearance at job completion.

What sets us apart?

Traditional land clearing methods often present an increased risk of erosion by pushing over trees. This method uproots the stump and roots, significantly disturbing soils.

In contrast, mulching the vegetation leaves the soil structure intact. The mulched material can be left on the ground and acts as an erosion barrier while also returning nutrients back into the soil through decomposition. Over time, grass will naturally grow through the mulch. The new grass can be easily maintained by mowing.
